How it works

From a photo of a receipt to a reviewed filing pack

KodiGuard prepares the work and keeps it organised. A qualified person reviews it, and you or your accountant do the filing with TRA.

  1. 1

    Tell us about your business

Your TIN status, VAT registration, employees, financial year end and business type decide which obligations apply to you. Anything that does not apply is hidden.

  2. 2

Capture what happens day to day

Photograph receipts, import mobile money and bank statements, record sales, expenses, payroll and suppliers — in bulk with a spreadsheet if that is easier.

  3. 3

    KodiGuard prepares the workings

Using dated Tanzanian rates and thresholds, your records become VAT, PAYE, SDL, withholding and provisional-tax workings, each showing how the figure was reached.

  4. 4

A person reviews before anything is filed

Work moves from Draft to Under review to Reviewed. Your accountant or tax consultant checks the numbers, comments and confirms. KodiGuard never submits anything to TRA.

  5. 5

    File and keep the proof

Download a single filing pack with the cover sheet, workings, listings and source documents. After filing, record the TRA acknowledgement so the period is locked with its proof.

KodiGuard is an independent record-keeping and tax-compliance assistant. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by the Tanzania Revenue Authority, it is not an accounting or audit firm, and it does not replace review by an approved Tanzanian tax professional. KodiGuard never files or submits anything to TRA on your behalf.
