Tax disclaimer

KodiGuard, operated by KodiGuard Tanzania Limited, is a software service for keeping business records and preparing tax workings. It organises information you provide and presents it clearly.

• It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
• It is not an accounting, audit, legal or tax-agency firm, and it is not your tax agent.
• It does not replace review and advice from an approved Tanzanian tax professional.
• It does not file, submit or transmit returns, objections or payments to TRA on your behalf.

Every figure is calculated from the records entered into your account and from published rates and thresholds recorded in the service. If a record is missing, duplicated or entered incorrectly, the result will be wrong. You remain responsible for the completeness and accuracy of your own records.

Tax rates, thresholds and deadlines change. We update them as we become aware of changes, and where a rate or threshold is an assumption rather than a confirmed published value we mark it as such in the app. Always confirm current requirements before filing.

Work in KodiGuard moves through Draft, Under review, Reviewed and Filed. Draft material is marked as draft and must not be treated as a final return. Before filing anything with TRA, or responding to a TRA letter, have the work reviewed by a qualified professional.

To the extent permitted by Tanzanian law, KodiGuard Tanzania Limited is not liable for penalties, interest, assessments or other losses arising from reliance on estimates, reminders or guidance in the service. Responsibility for what is filed rests with the taxpayer and their professional advisers.
